Garadi (pronounced guh-ruh-dee) and chaadar are worn as shawls by men in the Kangra region of Himachal Pradesh. They work beautifully as a lightweight blanket or throw. Garadi are woven in a black-and white check design; chaadar are solid white. Each piece is handwoven from wool yarn handspun on a charkha. Lightly fulled, with beautiful drape and durability. Each piece is approximately 1 yard wide and 2 yards long, weighing approximately 2 pounds.
